2009 Carolina Open
Checker Players:
Please read and follow the rules
because we (NCCA) chose The Masonic Home for Children at Oxford to host our 119th
State Open Checkers Tournament. Please be responsible and respectful guests.
Remember the children.
- MHCO staff has scheduled
our Friday and Saturday checkers tournament, to be held in the basement of the
Chapel, May 15 - 16, 2009. They are expecting 25 to 45 people total.
- Mr. Chris Richardson will
open and close the Chapel basement on Friday; Mrs. Tina Gilreath will be here
Saturday to open and close.
- Participants will remain
at the Chapel and will be parking in and around the Chapel. Participants
should not be elsewhere on campus, with the exception of visiting the museum
on Friday or Saturday (during lunch break) and will be reminded of our smoking
policy.
- Participants should obey
the 15 MPH speed limit while driving on MHCO campus.
- A MHCO staff member will
be here 8am to 8pm on Friday and 7:30am to 6pm on Saturday.
- The MHCO children and
staff members may sign up at the main building, and are encouraged to
participate.
- The youth tournament is
Friday evening 5 to 8pm.
- Mr. Allen Hughes and
Mr. Chris Richardson will be welcoming NCCA members on Friday at 8:30am at the opening of the tournament.
- Anyone can come and play
or watch.
